Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust as it expands its neurodevelopmental services through a needs-led model of care.
We are seeking enthusiastic and skilled registered professionals to join the Humber Adult ADHD and Autism Diagnostic Service (HAADS) as an ADHD and Autism Specialist Practitioner. Working within a highly specialist multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services, support ongoing service development and help shape the future of neurodevelopmental care across Hull and East Riding.
You will play an important role in ensuring adults referred for ADHD and autism assessment receive a positive, person-centered and accessible experience throughout their diagnostic journey, supporting the service's commitment to delivering high-quality care and improving outcomes.
As a successful applicant you will gather and analyse information from a range of sources to support ADHD and autism assessments, contributing to diagnostic formulation within a multidisciplinary team.
You will prepare high-quality assessment reports, maintain accurate clinical records, and communicate assessment outcomes in a clear, compassionate and accessible manner.
The role will involve working collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies, contributing to service improvement initiatives, participating in supervision and continuing professional development to maintain high standards of practice
Main duties of the job
- Practice autonomously without direct supervision in the assessment documentation collation, analysis and clinical report production
- Contribute to the completion of ADHD and autism developmental and clinical assessment interviews under guidance of an advanced (Band 7 or above) clinician, analyse and present data for further formulation with the MDT
- Completing observational assessments via face to face or secure online virtual consultations, using aspects of standardised assessments. Collating and analysing data and presenting the evidence for further formulation with the MDT.
- Participate in the referral and triage meetings as required, using clinical experience and established criteria for prioritising new referrals into the service.
- Liaise closely with other members of the MDT to ensure a detailed and complete diagnostic assessment is completed in line with NICE guidance.
- Responsible for ensuring clinical outcome data is appropriately collated and routinely recorded to the Trust and professional clinical regulatory body standards.
- Support the continuous evaluation the clinical effectiveness of the service by use of evidence-based practice and outcome measures and participate in the development of the service.
