Job overview

This office-based role provides a high level of administration support to the Maidstone and Pembury Liaison Psychiatry Service in its 24-hour provision of mental health assessments for individuals who attend the Emergency Department or are admitted on medical/surgical wards and have mental health needs.

The post may provide back-up support to the other West Kent hospital site, which may require very occasional travel to Tunbridge Wells Hospital – most of this support can be provided remotely from Maidstone Hospital.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide comprehensive admin support to the team/service.
  • Support the team manager with staffing levels, covering shifts and booking NHSP bank/agency staff.
  • Answer telephone calls and take messages or divert to the relevant person.
  • Provide support with caseload management using Rio, including monitoring to ensure all mandatory documentation has been completed.
  • Monitor various data sources to ensure accuracy.
  • Monitor Business Intelligence reports for performance compliance and highlight and rectify any errors.
  • Ensure resources (such as forms, leaflets, documents) and supplies for the team are replenished and ordered in a timely manner.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date service data records.
  • Send invites and produce meeting agendas, minutes other meeting papers.
  • Maintain and update information resources in the office.
