Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bank Administrative Assistants within our Child Health Department based at North Ayrshire Health & Social Care Partnership, Cunninghame House, Friars Croft Irvine KA12 8EE. This post is offered on a fixed-term basis until 18/12/2026.
Hours:
Hours and Shift Pattern:
Position 1 – 2 x 15 hours per week between the hours of 9.00am and 3.00pm to suit the organisational needs. These posts are offered on a fixed term contract from 1.9.26 – 18.12.26.
Position 2 - Ad Hoc hours between the hours of 9.00am and 3.00pm to suit the organisational needs. This post is offered on a bank contract between the months of August and December, and salary will be pro-rata.
UK Driving Licence:
A UK driving licence is essential for this role.
What you will do:
As a member of the Ayrshire Early Years Children & Families Community Nursing Team working within NHS Ayrshire & Arran, you will be committed to providing a good standard of administration duties and data input. These duties will be undertaken within the child health office.
You will provide administration support to the immunisation nursing service to support delivery of a national influenza immunisation programme including maintenance of medical records. You must be willing to travel to any school within Ayrshire & Arran, when cover is required for absence. You must be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the department and be willing to undertake development of skill and competency as necessary.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required for this post:
Essentially you will possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills as well as being able to work effectively as part of a team, having the ability to take direction and work on your own initiative.
You will be educated to GCSE higher grade or equivalent qualification and/or have equivalent administration experience. Proven numeracy, excellent keyboard and verbal skills as well as a good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel packages are essential. Knowledge of the NHS Community Health Index (CHI) would be desirable but not essential.
You must hold a full driving licence, with ability to travel to schools within NHS Ayrshire & Arran..
