The Therapies and Musculoskeletal Services Shropshire and Telford (MSST) Admin Team are looking to appoint an apprentice.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to start a career in an administration support role whilst working towards a national accredited qualification.

An accredited qualification is a nationally recognised qualification which indicates to any employer that the person holding it has attained a satisfactory level of skill and competence in their chosen area of work. The post is ideally suited to those aspiring to a career in  Administration or another chosen path within the NHS.

Successful applicants will be given the opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge whilst working within a friendly and established team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to start a career in an administration support role whilst working towards a Qualification.

You will receive training and ongoing support to enable you to use the systems and processes required to undertake the role and complete your apprenticeship. In addition, you will gain a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Main duties of the job

Registering new patients and up-dating patient’s details on Lorenzo/RIO systems ensuring accuracy.

To add Non-MSST and MSST patients to the relevant waiting list.

Checking and adjusting patient’s appointments and waiting list entries on the Lorenzo system.

Booking patients appointments or amending any appointments for both MSST and Non-MSST.

Dealing with patients face to face and by telephone in a sympathetic and welcoming manner.

Record details of patients arriving at reception and make return appointments according to clinical requirements.

Ensure all clinic appointments are outcome correctly form the clinical outcome form

Answer routine telephone enquiries from patients and other members of staff.

Dealing with patient’s requests and answering questions regarding their appointments when required.

General office duties such as post, photocopying, scanning, emails etc.

Ensuring that Health & Safety issues are brought to the attention of the Therapy/MSST  L 3Team Leader.
