NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people, and to a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
The role:
We are looking for two motivated and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service in Renfrewshire. This is a varied and rewarding role working with individuals experiencing alcohol and drug use, where you will play a key part in delivering person centred care that reduces harm and supports recovery.
You will be involved in assessment, care planning, and ongoing clinical support, including physical health monitoring, harm reduction, and contributing to treatment interventions. You will work closely within a multi-disciplinary team across health and social care, as well as with third sector partners, supporting a coordinated and consistent approach to care.
The role requires a willingness to travel across Renfrewshire to meet the needs of individuals in a range of settings. Your primary base will be Back Sneddon Street in Paisley but a driving licence and access to transport is preferred as assertive outreach is a main function of this role. We are looking for someone who is well organised, non-judgemental in their approach, and brings energy and enthusiasm to their work.
