In this exciting role, you will:
- Fully integrate into the Multidisciplinary Team: Attend ward rounds and work closely with the Frailty/HCOOP lead to shape the service.
- Provide training and teaching: Train FY1 and FY2 doctors, become an educational supervisor for trainee pharmacists, and supervise foundation pharmacists.
- Engage in service level activities: Play a key role in the continuous improvement of our services.
- Line management and practice supervision: Take on responsibilities in managing foundation pharmacists and acting as a practice supervisor, enhancing your leadership skills.
Pursue further education: Undertake the Non-Medical Prescribing (NMP) course to expand your qualifications

Qualifications
Essential
- 4-year Master's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent as recognised by the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist
Desirable
- Postgraduate Diploma in General Practice Pharmacy i.e. completion of both Foundation Stage 1 and 2 (or equivalent)
- Training and accreditation as a Practice Supervisor and Educational Supervisor
- Completion of Foundation Stage 1 of the Postgraduate Diploma in General Practice Pharmacy or equivalent demonstrable knowledge gained through a broad spectrum of clinical pharmacy training and experience
Clinical skills and experience
Essential
- Significant post registration experience showing clinical experience within various environments (or equivalent).
- Can demonstrate ‘usually’ or ‘consistently’ levels of competence for the majority of General/Foundation Level Frame work
- Excellent communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills
- Works effectively within the team.
- Able to analyse information and plan actions based on this information
Desirable
- Demonstrate significant experience in care of the elderly/acute frailty
- Demonstrates teaching and presentation skills
- Undertaken audits and shown implementation of results
- Research skills and experience.
- Service improvement skills.
