Mayfield is a 14 bedded Assessment and Treatment Unit supporting people with a learning disability and additional health needs including forensic, mental health, autism and behaviours that may challenge. The unit is functioning with 10 beds due to the complexities of the current client group which has required 4 bedrooms to be turned into pods to provide these 4 patients with their own day room due to being unable to share other communal areas with peers. Currently we have an exciting opportunity for a highly enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of Activity and Therapeutic Support Worker.

Mayfield is looking for an Activity and Therapuetic support worker to plan , organise and deliver a programme of activities in-house and within the community. We are searching for someone who is creative and resourceful,a trauma informed practitioner and will be a strong team player with excellent communication and organisational skills. The applicant will feel confident in providing a wide range of activities to interest and stimulate the physical and mental wellbeing of this patient group. They will understand the need of promoting the philosophy of social inclusion and independence in order to motivate, guide and engage patients in activity programmes using risk focused approaches
