Main duties of the job
As an Academy Physiologist, you will: Join our multidisciplinary team of doctors, physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals Complete our in-house three-week training course. Help promote health and fitness as part of our holistic, comprehensive health service Deliver health assessments that support health and wellbeing goals Support prevention as well as rehabilitation and recovery Be passionate and caring in the service you provide, putting client's needs first Complete our award-winning preceptorship programme during your first 12 months in the role
About us
Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. Exeter is a vibrant cathedral city in the heart of the beautiful county of Devon, situated on the river exe and only 10 miles from the coast. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. We also have an on-site Pathology department as well as a busy outpatient department, health assessment service, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiology department including an MRI scanner. Successful candidates will be expected to attend a training camp in London in their second and third weeks of an initial four week training programme on commencement of the role.

You've studied human physiology, exercise, biochemistry, anatomy/biomechanics, psychology and nutrition. Crucially, you know how to apply this in practice. Whilst you will have a base location all our Academy Physiology roles are mobile, so you will be required to travel within the region of your base site. As an Academy Physiologist, you will:
