The Nursing Quality Team are seeking 5 enthusiastic staff to become Practice Educators supporting the nursing quality agenda, covering a variety of different nursing subjects / clinical skills. There will be roles dedicated to supporting education on Learning Disabilities and Autism and, Documentation as well as supporting the key nursing priority workstreams.

Working hours will span Monday - Friday covering office type hours, flexible working /compressed hours is available.

This is a fixed term secondment which will end on 31st March 2027. You must have approval to be released to commence in post in August prior to application by your Lead Nurse / Matron.

Main duties of the job

The Practice Educator role is designed to influence the quality of the clinical environment by providing support, educational input and development activities for both registered and unregistered healthcare staff and students on pre-registration training programs around the importance of nursing quality and nursing priorities care across the organisation.

The role aims to enhance the quality of practice and positively contribute to the current and future healthcare professional workforce through providing department specific education and training, expanding the knowledge base of nursing staff and promoting evidence-based practice through the organisation. The post holder will work in close co-operation with all members of the Multi-disciplinary team.
