Job summary

As a Ward Clerk on a busy, fast paced, high patient turn over, you will be required to answer and direct calls, handle enquiries, and print and file paperwork and documentation. You will be responsible for ensuring that patient notes are kept neat and chronologically filed, and support nursing staff with printing, filing and digital referrals. You will also be required to handle posting (internal and external) of letters and forms, and maintain digital referrals as per the request of doctors. This is a patient facing role, and therefore excellent communication skills and confidence to help and support patients and their relatives are absolutely necessary.
