We are pleased to invite applications for a permanent Band 5 Dietitian to join NHS Lothian. This rotational post will start in the Diabetes and Weight Management Teams and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to two dynamic specialist areas while becoming an integral member of the wider Lothian Dietetic Service. In this role, you will deliver weight management and diabetes care across NHS Lothian. As a newly created post, it will play a key role in driving service innovation, with a particular focus on early intervention for people living with diabetes, obesity and metabolic disease as well as supporting the expansion of digital-first pathways across both services.
This post is part of our broader Band 5 rotations, providing a range of clinical experience across the following areas:
The Diabetes and the Weight Management Teams are Lothian-wide services, and the post holder would have a base at the Astley Ainslie Hospital and the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. As part of the rotation, the post holder may be placed in any of the teams listed above and may be required to provide cross-cover across NHS Lothian sites. The ability to travel across the region is therefore essential.
This is an excellent opportunity for motivated dietitians with a passion for diabetes, prevention and weight management to develop their skills within a diverse, friendly and supportive multidisciplinary environment.

Interview format: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a group interview.
