Specialist Clinical Pharmacist
(Public holiday working and on-call commitment)

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to join our friendly and supportive Mental Health Pharmacy team. This post is in based at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital in Morningside in the south of Edinburgh. It will be ideal for someone looking to further their clinical skills in mental health or gain hospital experience. Applications are welcomed for reduced hours.
The post-holder will be responsible for the clinical pharmacy service to allocated Older Peoples Mental Health Wards including consultant ward rounds, and multi-disciplinary working with ward-based staff. The post holder will contribute to enquires from Older Peoples Mental Health Community Mental Health Teams and outpatient services.
We’re involved with Scottish Universities providing regular placements for undergraduates experiential learning and have a trainee pharmacist and band 6 pharmacists on site.
Candidates must have a Master of Pharmacy Degree or equivalent, be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), and should have completed or have equivalent competence mapped to the RPS post-registration foundation pharmacist curriculum
There is a requirement to contribute to the on-call rota and be willing to work public holidays. There will be opportunity to undertake further postgraduate qualifications in this post.
