Acute Service Clinical Fellow Posts

Salary: £47,438 - £62,758 (pro-rata)
Applications are invited from trainees having completed or about to finish the UK Foundation Programme to apply for the position of Clinical Fellow in a wide variety of clinical specialties in NHS Lothian. All applicants must be GMC registered and be within two years of successful completion of UK Foundation Programme or equivalent (as evidence by CREST form) by time of appointment.
The available posts will be placed in various specialties across the following sites in NHS Lothian:
- Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (RIE)
- Western General Hospital (WGH)
- St John’s Hospital, Livingston (SJH)
The appointed Clinical Fellows will work under supervision with local clinical teams to develop skills in the clinical areas of their choice. They will also provide a proportion of out of hours activity.
The appointments will be for 12 months commencing on 5th August 2026 (subject to pre-employment checks) and paid in line with the pay and conditions of service remuneration of hospital medical and dental staff.
