A challenging and exciting opportunity for a PPP Contract Manager to join a small team responsible for the commercial, legal and financial management of PPP contracts with an overall annual unitary payment of circa £100 million

NHS Lothian currently has a portfolio of 10 operational Public Private Partnership (PPP) contracts with a total annual unitary payment of circa £100 million. These are a mix of Private Finance Initiatives, Hub health care and Not for Profit Distribution (NPD).

Reporting directly to the PPP Programme Director, the Contract Manager is required to join a team that provides commercial and financial leadership, oversight, risk management and direction in respect of this portfolio including performance management, end of contract term arrangements, life cycle investment, change management, dispute process and division of services provided in-house or under contract.

With significant engagement with commercial providers, you will have strong negotiation, influencing and leadership qualities which you will require to evidence through significant experience in a commercial or healthcare or other complex environments and demonstrate ability to lead and manage changing requirements within clinically sensitive and demanding environments.

From a facility management, building management/surveying, finance, commerce or accountancy background, with detailed knowledge and experience of developing, negotiating, tendering and managing complex high value contracts, such as PFI /NPD with excellent analytical and judgement skills to address highly complex facts and situations incorporating legal, commercial, technical, construction and clinical information.

Applicants must be a holder of a degree and relevant post-graduate qualification in the areas of facility management, building management/surveying, finance, commerce or accountancy with significant relevant post qualifying experience in the delivery of quality commercial and contract management services.
