Job overview

Do you have a passion for Employee Relations and HR Investigations?

Looking to make a real impact across the NHS while working flexibly on our bank? If so, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

In 2020, AuditOne — one of the largest NHS advisory and assurance consortia — brought together a unique blend of HR, conflict resolution, and investigation specialists to create a new kind of workforce support service: WorkforceOne. Our mission? To transform the way NHS organisations approach investigations, resolution and workforce support. Learn more about our work and our values here: www.work-force-one.co.uk

Thanks to significant and growing demand, we’re entering an exciting period of expansion. We are now looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic workforce professional to join our bank team and help drive our next stage of growth.

If you’re seeking a fresh challenge where your expertise can genuinely shape how NHS organisations support their people — and if you want to be part of a collaborative, innovative and supportive team — we’d love to hear from you.

Important information for applicants

To progress your application, we require references from your current and previous employers covering at least the last three years. Please ensure your application includes contact details for each line manager, including address, telephone number, and work email address.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Senior Workforce Manager, you will deliver high‑quality, independent workforce investigations for a range of NHS and non‑NHS clients. You will manage complex and sensitive cases, including disciplinary matters, grievances, whistleblowing concerns, bullying and harassment issues, and dignity at work complaints.

You will take full ownership of cases from instruction to conclusion, including planning the investigation, identifying key lines of enquiry, preparing documentation, interviewing witnesses and reviewing evidence. You will produce clear, balanced and well‑reasoned investigation reports that support fair and transparent decision‑making.

When required, you will present findings at hearings or client meetings, providing professional advice and responding confidently to questions about process and evidence. Effective caseload management, accurate record‑keeping and adherence to legislation, best practice and client policies are essential.

Most investigation activity will be completed remotely via Microsoft Teams, supporting flexible working across multiple locations. Occasional in‑person meetings may be required depending on case needs.
