NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Workforce Planning Team as a Workforce Planning Analyst, supporting strategic and operational workforce planning across NHS Tayside and the wider Health and Social Care partnerships.

This is a key analytical role, providing high‑quality workforce information and insight to inform decision‑making at service, partnership and strategic level. You will work closely with HR, service leads, planners and senior managers to ensure workforce data is accurate, meaningful and accessible.

You will be educated to degree level (or have equivalent experience) with strong analytical ability and experience working with large datasets. You will be confident using Excel and data visualisation tools (such as Power BI) and able to communicate information clearly and effectively.

Experience of workforce, HR or public sector data is desirable, but we are equally keen to hear from candidates with strong analytical skills who are looking to develop their career in workforce planning.

If you are enthusiastic about data, analysis and problem‑solving, and want to apply these skills in a role that directly supports patient care and service sustainability, this could be the role for you.
