An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly enthusiastic and motivated individual to join Ward A6 as our Housekeeper.
Ward A6 is a mixed surgical acute admissions ward. We look after predominantly general surgical patients, but also have urology, breast, orthopedic, ENT and Plastics specialty.
You will play a key role in maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and organization within ward A6, undergoing infection control procedures, equipment cleaning, assisting with ordering of stock and arranging this. You will assist in catering for patients, ensuring that their individual nutritional needs are met. There will also be opportunity to complete audits and participate in our SHINE walk-arounds. As a Housekeeper you support the team by ensuring the ward is clean, safe, comfortable and organized to deliver patient care.

Main duties of the job include (but are not limited to)
general housekeeping including cleaning, tidying and organizing of the general ward environment and patient bed spaces
assisting in the ordering and provision of patient meals, meeting their nutritional requirements
maintaining infection control standards on the ward
completing relevant audits
escalating concerns via the relevant channels
