The ward clerk will provide an efficient clerical service to support the smooth running of day-to-day operational issues within the ward environment. The ward clerk will work as part of a busy team providing professional reception duties and clerical support to the Mental Health Ward/s and be expected to liaise in a professional manner with patients, visitors, colleagues, and other agencies and undertake a wide spectrum of duties within the confines of the role. As the ward clerk the broad spectrum of the role will encompass general office duties, clerical duties, reception and telephone duties.
Ensure that through personal development the postholder should assist in the implementation of Health Board policies and procedures in order to achieve required organisational objectives.
