Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Waiting List Coordinator to join the Trauma and Orthopaedic team within the Division of Surgery. The successful candidate will provide a vital and dynamic team leading role within Trauma and Orthopaedics, and contribute to the overall performance of the service.

You will be responsible for the booking of theatre lists for multiple Orthopaedic surgeons cross all 3 sites within DBTH,  using Trust systems.

You will also be responsible for the validation of the Patient Tracking List, ensuring patients are being monitored and tracked to expedite treatment and meet RTT/NHS England targets.

You will manage and have responsibility for the day to day management of the theatre lists and adhere to Trust HR policies and procedures.

Main duties of the job

As a self motivated individual you will become an integral part of the wider admin team.

Duties will include, planning theatre lists and liaising with consultants and Specialist Registrar and the higher management team to ensure the mix of patients and procedures is acceptable.

Essentially, the post holder will need to have experience in dealing with patients on a waiting list,  knowledge of Bluespier and CaMIS  and  have a minimum of 3 GCSE to the equivalent of grade  C or above as well as  excellent keyboard skills.
