The Wirral University Teaching Hospital requires volunteers to support a multitude of functions across our sites. You may be deployed in any area of the hospital, according to demand.

From providing important administrational support or conducting patient and family surveys to gather valuable feedback, to being a friendly and welcoming face for our patients as a welcomer, or supporting our many different clinical areas, volunteers play a crucial and important role within the Hospital and are valued and key members of our workforce.

All required training is provided prior to starting any placement, with sector specific training delivered once you have started, and ongoing renewal.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

You are applying for the Patient Experience volunteer role as described in the attached Job Description. The Trust has a variety of other volunteer placements and these will be discussed at the interview stage. We endeavour to match your personal skills and experience to a suitable role, which may not be the advertised role. You could also be deployed in a different role to support the Trust in adverse circumstances.

All placements will be made as soon as possible after mandatory training has been completed.
