As a Hospital Volunteer you will be providing a friendly and helpful welcome to patients, families and visitors to Bolton Hospital. Volunteers are needed to provide a valuable resource, which enhances patient care by giving practical help and support to patients and staff, but does not replace the work of staff The only qualifications required is your desire to help someone in need and have a professional friendly attitude and be over the age of 18.
All prospective volunteer must complete their eLearning journey before you start volunteering by undertaking the National Volunteer Certificate which underpins the Induction you will do as a volunteer.
We are looking for volunteers to support our Meet and Greet Service to patients, relatives and visitors at our Main Reception at the hospital.
Provide a friendly and polite welcome to the hospital.
Direct or accompany patients, families and visitors to their appropriate destination.
You will be required be to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the desire to volunteer in a patient focussed environment. You will also need to have good organisational skills, with the ability to deal sensitively and confidently with people face to face.
