Voice and Unified Communications Projects Engineer (MS Teams Administrator)

We are seeking an experienced Voice and Unified Communications Projects Engineer (MS Teams Administrator) to support the delivery of major telephony and unified communications transformation programmes across ELFT. This role requires a hands-on project engineer, not a service desk or purely operational support background.

This is an on-site role across East London, Luton, and Bedfordshire, with frequent travel between sites — own transport is essential. The candidate must be London-based or within short commutable distance.

The environment is fast-paced and requires someone who is organised, proactive, technically confident, and able to communicate effectively with clinical and operational leaders.

  • Deliver hands-on project work for the migration of legacy telephony services to Microsoft Teams Voice.
  • Configure, deploy, and support Teams endpoints (handsets, headsets, common-area devices).
  • Carry out site-based readiness assessments (network, Wi-Fi, switching, cabling, device checks) alongside operational teams (Networks, Server, Voice & Uc, etc).
  • Work closely with the Voice & UC Programme team (PM's, BA's, etc) to plan, prepare and execute cutovers.
  • Engage directly with clinical teams, site leads, Estates and Digital stakeholders.
  • Perform MS Teams configuration including: Auto Attendants, Call Queues, Resource Accounts Dial Plans, Calling Policies, Voice Routing Endpoint profile configuration

  • Represent Digital Voice & UC as a subject matter expert on-site.

  • Assist BA's in conducting detailed site surveys to identify required hardware, endpoints, VLANs, and infrastructure readiness.

  • Coordinate number PORTs with telco suppliers and ensure smooth cutovers.
  • Test inbound/outbound routing, call flows, and contingency arrangements.
  • Provide second and third-line UC engineering support during go-live.
