We are looking for a compassionate, dynamic and clinically excellent registered nurse to join a highly motivated urological team. Main duties of the job

The post holder will be primarily responsible for the running and managing the lithotripsy service, within the Urology Unit, within ESNEFT, based at Colchester site. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and providing specialist expertise and guidance regarding Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) procedures to treat kidney and ureteric stones.

The post holder will have clear expectation of providing high-quality, efficient and patient-centred care whilst managing patient pathways and always coordinating with key stakeholders across our multi-professional teams. The post-holder will undertake clinical work within established quality standards of practice for imaging and urology (including NICE, BAUS & NMC) and ionising radiation safety legislation (IRMER)

Even though the primary responsibility of the post holder is to run lithotripsy services, If lithotripsy Service is not working then the post holder need to facilitate other urology services like flexible cystoscopy, prostate biopsies, Trial without catheter clinic, Self-intermittent dilatation/catheterisation clinics, Stent on string removal, Nephrostomy removal, Nephrostomy care, Dissolution therapy/inversion therapy for stone patient.
