Job summary

The Trust Grade Doctor (CT1--CT3 level) at the Memory Assessment and Research Centre (MARC) is a clinically focused role supporting cutting-edge dementia research within Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Based at Moorgreen Hospital, the postholder works within an internationally recognised centre that has delivered "hundreds of pharmaceutical trials, observational studies or basic science projects aimed at improving the diagnosis and treatment of memory disorders."

The role involves undertaking advanced clinical duties related to research trials, including psychiatric assessments, physical examinations, and ongoing participant monitoring. Working under consultant supervision but with significant clinical autonomy, the doctor collaborates closely with MARC's multidisciplinary team, including the Director, Principal Investigators, and rotating medical staff.

The post is 6--10 PAs, delivered entirely within normal working hours with no on call commitment. The doctor contributes to high-quality research delivery, supports evidence based practice, and helps maintain MARC's reputation for excellence in dementia care innovation. The Trust provides strong wellbeing support, professional development opportunities, and a culture grounded in compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence.
