The successful applicant will be vital and active member of the department.
They will participate in the care of orthopaedic patients in both acute (trauma) and elective settings.
This role will inc lude the provision of fracture and elective outpatient clinics, surgical operating in both trauma and elective cases, and participation in the ‘registrar’ grade acute trauma on call rota (including overnight and weekend provision)
All activities will be conducted under named consultant supervision, with the level of supervision dependent on the needs of the individual.
Main duties of the job
Participation in the daily activities of the Department, including outpatient clinic provision, the delivery of surgical procedures and the management of the acutely traumatically injured individual. Engagement and supervision of junior colleagues. Liaising and working alongside Advanced Orthopaedic Practitioner colleagues as well as other members of the multi-disciplinary team. The requesting and acting upon the results of appropriate tests and investigations, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The timely completion of relevant documentation and requests. Participation in audit and governance processes
