Job overview

We are looking to appoint Trust Doctor for a period of 6 months starting in 2027.

Our prehospital service is provided by Barts Health NHS Trust in partnership with the London’s Air Ambulance charity, and the London Ambulance Service NHS Trust. Clinical governance, leadership and support is provided by Barts Health, who are responsible for the doctors. Paramedics are provided by the London Ambulance Service and receive specialist training prior to undertaking their duties. London’s Air Ambulance charity plays a vital role in delivering many aspects of the service including the essential helicopter and rapid response car assets, but also an infrastructure that enables excellent care to be delivered to patients.

Our doctor-paramedic team responds to major trauma patients within the Greater London area, by helicopter during daylight hours and using rapid response cars during the hours of darkness.

Main duties of the job

Our mission is to save more lives in London through rapid response and outstanding care, underpinned by our values and a high performing culture.
