An exciting opportunity has opened up to join our Trauma and Orthopaedics rotations at Treliske Hospital and St Michael's Hospital.

This is a Band 6 Physiotherapy post, working 37.5 hrs per week. There is a requirement to cover weekends and bank holidays on a rota, and the post is part of the Trust's on call respiratory rota.

The Trauma and Orthopaedics physiotherapy team s at Treliske and St Michael's are hard working, dynamic teams of individuals, who are looking forward to welcoming a new member to their mini rotation.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide a high standard Physiotherapy service to patients at Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust. To provide specialist assessment, treatment, and goal setting of Trauma and Orthopaedics patients on the wards. Some patients may have complex and/or chronic presentations.  To determine clinical diagnosis and Physiotherapy treatment indicated.  To maintain records as an autonomous practitioner. You will develop highly specialist skills under the guidance of the Senior staff. To provide clinical cross cover within your team as delegated by your Clinical Team Lead To attend clinical level discussions / meetings relating to your area of work as delegated by your Clinical Team Lead
