Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified Mental Health Practitioner to work in the delivery of the Trauma Informed Personality Disorder (TIPD) Pathway within Core Team East. This would be an opportunity to help assist in the leadership and integration of the Trauma Informed Personality Disorder Pathway (TIPD) that sits within the Core Pathway Community Mental Health Team.

You will work as a member of the multidisciplinary team within Core Team East providing specialist assessment and treatment interventions for individuals with a diagnosis of a personality disorder or those presenting with similar difficulties. You will provide clinical leadership within the team in regards to this client group and work alongside the Team Manager to embed the pathway within the team. You will also work alongside the pathway leads to further develop good practice and ensure robust governance structures are in place and adhered to. You will be required to attend managed clinical network meetings and actively support the structures in place which assist in providing excellent trauma informed care to this service user group.

Your role will involve liaising with service users, family and carers in addition to third sector, primary care colleagues and other external services so excellent communication skills are essential.

Main duties of the job

We are looking to appoint someone who is passionate and enthusiastic about working with this client group. The successful candidate would need to be committed to further training as required by the role in order to provide the interventions outlined within the pathway. In exchange you will be well supported within a friendly and supportive team along with an effective supervision structure. Further ongoing development and training is included as part of the role.

Core Team East provides community support to individuals with severe and enduring mental health difficulties who present with increased risk and complexity who require a multidisciplinary approach. The team includes a range of professionals including nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, psychologists, peer support workers and doctors.

We require all candidates to be NMC/HCPC registered with a protected professional title (Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker)
