Job overview

Permanent | Full time

Are you ready for an interesting, varied and rewarding role? We're looking for someone to join our supportive finance team, where you'll collaborate with service managers and senior clinicians to help deliver the Trust’s Clinical Strategy, People Plan, and Quality Promise.

You’ll provide high-quality, interpret and advise on good quality, reliable financial information to both finance and non-finance colleagues, helping services stay on track and achieve financial balance. This is a great opportunity to work across a range of functions and build professional relationships throughout the Trust.

About You:

  • Educated to A Level (or equivalent)
  • Experienced in finance and using computerised accounting software
  • Able to complete tasks in an agreed timeframe
  • Numerate and detail focussed

We support professional development and may be able to offer a study package for those working towards accountancy qualifications.

Main duties of the job

You will report to the Senior Management Accountant, and your responsibilities will include:

  • Help produce monthly management reports and the Trust’s statutory annual accounts, utilising Trust financial systems.
  • Post accounting journals—including accruals and prepayments—to ensure the financial position of services is reflected.
  • Explain complex financial data and technical concepts to colleagues without a finance background, ensuring information is understood.
  • Communicate with budget holders and service management to provide informed advice and contribute to the delivery of the Trust’s Value Improvement Programme

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
