Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The route available is:

NO previous Healthcare experience: - Trainee HCSW-75% of a band 2-£18,348+ enhancements

As a trainee HCSW you will have NO previous experience of working within care.  You are required to study a level 2 health and social care related qualification alongside your working role.

You must be aged 16 or over Be a Resident in the UK/ EEA for the last three years Must NOT be in any form of formal government-funded education

Please note that sponsorship is not available for this post.

Successful applicants will be placed on a waiting list until a suitable vacancy becomes available in the Trust.

The Recruitment Centre:

If your application is shortlisted, you will be invited to attend a Recruitment Centre. This Recruitment Centre is intended to show you what it’s really like to be a healthcare assistant, and to provide you with the opportunity to demonstrate how you would provide excellent quality care to our patients and their families within a modern health care facility.

The Recruitment centre will involve a basic literacy test and if you are successful you will go forward to an interview.  If you are successful at interview, and there isn’t a current vacancy that meets your needs, we’ll keep in touch and update you as jobs arise. If we are unable to allocate you to your requirements your application will be withdrawn.
