High Intensity Trainee CBT Therapist (IAPT)

We are looking for staff with

  • Degree level qualification (relevant mental health subject is preferable)or
  • Core Profession Qualificationor
  • Low Intensity CBT Qualification (PWP), with 2 years post qualification experience

To join Bradford Talking Therapies. We are an established forward-thinking ‘Improving Access to Psychological Therapies’ (IAPT) service as a Trainee CBT Therapist.

As part of this role, you will be expected to attend University 2 days per week at University of Sheffield, working with clients on the other days. You will be expected to complete university assignments and submit practical tapes for supervision.

Please note: candidates who do not have a core professional background and qualification are encouraged to apply and will need to provide a completed KSA portfolio at selection.  A KSA portfolio has a number of criteria which must all be met by every applicant. There are some backgrounds which mean that the applicant has already met a number of the criteria and can therefore provide a condensed KSA. Other backgrounds mean that applicants must complete all of the sections.

Assessment centres provisionally planned as 13th and 14th of July

Candidates from a core professional background should demonstrate a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience. Candidates from a non-registered professional background will need to demonstrate a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience alongside their ability to meet the relevant criteria outlined in the KSA.

You will be providing CBT interventions, and you will be required to go on the IAPT accredited CBT training course as part of the role. There are potential opportunities within this role to develop once qualified . For example, to become a supervisor, to deliver other evidence-based treatment for clients, or becoming a member of our SIG groups  of special interest areas, as part of ongoing service developments.

You will receive regular 1:1 and group supervision in order to develop your clinical skills further. Bradford Talking Therapies is dedicated to clinical excellence. All our staff have access to regular CPD, and in-house CBT related training.
