We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated Band 3 Health Care Assistant to work within our Tissue Viability Service throughout the Barnsley area.
The purpose of this role is to support our specialist clinical team to support patients primarily in a clinic setting but also in the patients own home where clinically appropriate/necessary.
You will deliver patient care within the management of wound care for which the post holder has been deemed competent, under the supervision of a registered nurse.
We are looking for individuals who are confident, highly motivated & flexible with excellent interpersonal & communication skills.

You will:
Provide high standards of safe and compassionate care
Develop & maintain meaningful therapeutic relationships with people & ensure the care experienced is positive & service user safety is maintained
Apply your knowledge in order to provide advice and support
Exercise a degree of independence, under supervision, using your initiative and judgment when delivering tasks
Participate in training/education & clinical supervision to develop skills & knowledge, apply continuous reflection on own practice
The use of a vehicle to undertake any necessary travel in connection with the duties of the post is essential
This role requires the post holder to undertake physically demanding work on a daily basis & involves frequent kneeling & crouching; therefore a level of physical fitness is required in order to sustain this type of clinical intervention.
