We are looking for a Registered Nurse first level (Adult) or Operating Department Practitioner to join our Theatre/Endoscopy team at the Lorn and Islands Hospital Oban.
The department cares for elective and emergency surgical and endoscopy patients. The Theatre/Endoscopy department is operational Monday to Friday for people attending for both general surgery and endoscopy procedures. In addition, there is an out of hours on call service for emergencies.
The successful applicant will work 4 days per week in all areas - Peri-operative, Anaesthetics, Reception, Recovery and Endoscopy and participate in the out of hours on call. This post offers an opportunity for the successful candidate to gain/increase skills and experience in elective, emergency and surgical/endoscopic conditions.
It is essential for applicants to have previous experience working in Theatre and/or Endoscopy. Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to assess, plan and implement care for patients. Applicants should also have good communication and interpersonal skills and work well within a team.
