Hywel Dda University Health Board is looking for a Theatre Scrub Practitioner to join the Theatre department in Withybush General Hospital based in Haverfordwest, for a 12 month Fixed term/ secondment post.

Elective and emergency surgery is performed in our department, with an opportunity to work weekends along with weekdays.

We have a Theatre Education Facilitator within our department and offer a structured induction package and continued professional development is available to all staff.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our highly skilled workforce in the Main Operating Theatres at Withybush General Hospital. The successful candidate will join a motivated team of multi-disciplinary professionals delivering high quality, evidence-based care to our patients.

This vacancy is suitable for Registered Nurses/Operating Department Practitioners. We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic candidate with the ability to work well within a challenging environment, and who can deliver high quality patient care. Willingness to work as part of an on-call, will be required for this post.

A structured induction programme will be provided for all new members of staff, plus access to on-going continuing professional education and development.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply
