We are currently recruiting for a motivated receptionist to work for STSFT, predominantly at South Tyneside Theatres.
If you have experience working with people in a busy environment, then we are looking for you.
We are a busy Operating Theatre and provide care for patients undergoing treatment from the following specialities: General Surgery, Vascular, Emergency Service, ENT, Paediatrics, Urology, Facial Maxillary, Orthopaedics and Gynaecology
The administrative role involves working as a Team Member within a very busy working environment, ensuring a safe environment for all patients.
The successful candidate will be supported and supervised to ensure smooth running of the area they work in.
Key requirements:
Numeracy / Literacy skills level 1
Basic understanding of Health and Safety requirements in a patient environment
General understanding of confidentiality in the health care setting
Ability to communicate messages and instructions accurately to colleagues, both verbally and in writing
Ability to communicate health related information in an understandable way about patients to the Mutli-Disciplinary Team
Basic skills of empathy and reassurance
Accurate IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows packages
Flexible and adaptable to change in accordance with patient needs and the needs of the service
Committed to behaving in a professional manner to present caring image to patients
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
Ability to work effectively in the MDT
Ability to work on own initiative and manage own workload
Able to understand instructions and carry out duties in accordance with them
Friendly and approachable
