Job overview

An opportunity has arisen in the Planned Care Nursing Administration Team, the successful candidate will be cross site working to cover service needs (base to be confirmed).

Responsibilities include data entry, general administration work, updating the appointments system, and providing excellent customer care.

The post holder will receive incoming telephone calls from patients, carers, GPs, staff, other healthcare professionals, and external organisations, taking appropriate action which may involve discussing matters with other team members.

We are seeking candidates who possess a strong willingness to learn, relish challenges, and exhibit the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. Commitment to improving patient services and excellent communication skills are essential.

You will work alongside clinical colleagues to ensure that Planned Care Nursing flows smoothly, helping maintain an efficient and effective administration service.

You will be employed within a broader scope that encompasses District Nursing, Bladder & Bowel, Frailty and Tissue Viability Services.

Please note that our service operates seven days a week (including Bank Holidays - which are currently rostered for each staff member working 2 a year), and weekend work on a rotating basis is part of the role, currently 1 in 7 weekends.

There will also be cross-site work, so being a car user is necessary.

The core service hours are from 08:00 to 18:00.
