Support Worker Higher Level, Pharmacy Production

Job overview

Following significant investment in the pharmacy cancer service we are looking to recruit a senior support worker (band 3) to join our team.

This post will be suitable for candidates who can show an aptitude for cleanliness, precision, hygiene and team working. Previous pharmacy experience is not essential and suitable candidates may come from a background with transferable skills and knowledge eg HCA, catering, laboratory work etc

You can expect to be involved in all aspects of production duties. You will also top up wards and departments to the agreed stock level.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible and have the ability to work in a busy and demanding working environment. The person will need to be enthusiastic with good communication skills.

Main duties of the job

The role is based in the pharmacy aseptic unit (preparing chemotherapy) as well as other roles supporting the use of specialist medicines. The role is ideal for someone that is highly motivated, able to follow detailed procedures, high levels of cleanliness and has great interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will have  G.C.S.E level education  or equivalent qualification.

All training for the role will be provided.
