We are looking to expand our team to support the newly opened Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) based at Newmarket Community Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a brand new multi-disciplinary centre with state-of-the-art equipment in a bright, spacious and welcoming setting.
Training will be undertaking across West Suffolk Foundation Trust (including at the West Suffolk Hospital and Newmarket CDC sites). On completion of the course, the successful candidate will be based at Newmarket CDC. There may be future opportunities to rotate to West Suffolk Hospital. Upon qualification, the Ultrasound Department may offer flexible working; full and part time hours and condensed weeks will be considered. We are working towards 7 day working at the CDC and the wider ultrasound department. However, during the training period, there is an expectation the successful candidate will work a minimum of 30 hours.
You will be required to training to obtain high quality ultrasound images and diagnostic reports within the hospital and community settings. This may include gynaecological and obstetric examinations further opportunities to continue to the abdominal module may be available on completed on the postgraduate certificate. You will be required to work unsupervised in a specialist area with autonomy, making judgements on appropriate examination protocols and patient management. You will maintain high clinical and safety standards and will be expected to actively participate in associated tasks including quality assurance and safety procedures. You will engage as a proactive member of the ultrasound team, using effective communication skills to support a cohesive working environment.
