Job overview

Are you driven by a commitment to delivering exceptional care to stroke survivors? Ready to elevate your career and contribute meaningfully to a nationally recognised service? Join the esteemed stroke team at Northwick Park Hospital, where excellence in Hyper-Acute and Stroke Rehabilitation care is at the forefront.

Our 61-bed stroke unit is among the busiest in the UK, renowned for its high standards and innovative practices. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive Performance Analyst to support and enhance our data-driven approach to stroke care. While a clinical background in stroke is beneficial, it is not essential. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop advanced data analysis skills, particularly using MS Excel, and to make a tangible impact on patient outcomes.

Your strong communication skills will be key in leading a data administration team and collaborating with clinicians across the multidisciplinary stroke team (MDT). Your ability to present clear, actionable insights to both clinical and senior management teams will be central to driving continuous service improvement.

Main duties of the job

  • Work independently while maintaining close collaboration with the Stroke Clinical Unit Manager to ensure the accuracy and relevance of data aligned with SSNAP (Sentinel Stroke National Audit Programme) performance standards. The role is based within the Hyper-Acute Stroke Unit (HASU) and Stroke Unit (SU) at Northwick Park Hospital.
  • Lead and contribute to the collection and management of SSNAP data, ensuring efficient input processes and adherence to high data quality standards.
  • Organise and coordinate data collection activities in line with internal and external audit timelines. Adapt plans as needed, with support from senior management, to meet performance targets. This includes involvement in educational and operational projects that support best-in-class stroke care and foster collaborative working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage with the multidisciplinary team to monitor SSNAP compliance and co-develop improvement initiatives with the Stroke Unit Clinical Manager when required.
  • Maintain documentation and evidence for annual stroke service reviews and assist in preparing for assessment visits.
  • Present SSNAP and patient experience data to stroke managers and other stakeholders in forums such as clinical governance meetings, contributing to informed decision-making and service enhancement.
