Are you passionate about safeguarding and making a difference in the lives of children and young people?

We’re looking for a dedicated and proactive individual to join our 0–19 Service as a Strategy Lead. This vital role sits within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) and plays a key part in ensuring the health needs of children and young people are identified, represented, and shared during multi-agency strategy discussions.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic, child-focused team, driving forward safeguarding excellence across Knowsley.

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities include:

  • Attending and contributing to strategy meetings for children and young people.
  • Independently sourcing and collating health information from the Integrated Children’s Division.
  • Ensuring health perspectives are embedded in safeguarding decisions.
  • Working autonomously within the MASH team while collaborating closely with partner agencies.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  • Registered health professional (e.g., nurse, health visitor, school nurse) with current NMC registration.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, procedures, and thresholds.
  • Experience of working in multi-agency settings, ideally within a MASH or safeguarding context.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident in using electronic health records and information systems.
