This is an exciting opportunity for band 5 Staff Nurses to join our forward-thinking nursing team on Ward D4 in Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda, Community Hospital.
The hospital supports patients' rehabilitation needs and complex discharge planning. Ward D4 is a 27 bedded stroke rehab ward, with a mixture of medical patients.
Ward D4 provides a safe environment where patients can receive rehabilitation assessments, along with focused therapy to support independence before they can return home or to their new discharge destination.
Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda is continuously expanding its services and we require staff nurses who have the ambition to help drive these changes and help expand the service we offer.
Commitment to undertake ongoing training and development is essential. We offer ward-based training so you should be motivated, keen to learn and ready to embrace change.
We are able to offer both full and part-time posts within our team.

Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn’t mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn’t ‘fluency’, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health. The Health Board currently operate a number of different shift systems. The most common are a 12.5 hour shift, inclusive of either one 30 minute or two 30-minute unpaid breaks. These shift patterns are subject to review and the Health Board reserves the right to change working arrangements.
