Cancer Care & Haematology unit is a friendly, caring and supportive day case chemotherapy unit where we combine clinical excellence with high standard of care, using holistic approach to achieve the best possible outcomes. The unit treats a range of patients as day cases offering chemotherapy and supportive treatments, to patients with oncology and haematology malignancies and non-malignant haematological conditions. This is an excellent opportunity to join the team where the successful candidate can develop the skills and knowledge in cancer care, full support will be given to undertake the Chemotherapy Module.
You will be required to work across site with Clinical Nurse Specialist and Multi-disciplinary team members within the Cancer Care and Haematology units and ward.
The post holder will be expected to liaise appropriately with all key members of the multi-disciplinary team and service users related to the speciality.
The post holder is responsible for all aspects of care including the assessment of care needs, planning and implementation / evaluation of care.
The post holder will be expected to carry out all relevant fundamentals forms of care with or without direct supervision maintaining a high standard of nursing care within the framework of Trust policies and in accordance with guidelines as laid down by the NMC.
