Staff Nurse
Department: Ophthalmology theatres at Lloyds Court CDC
Band 5 £31,049 - £37,796 Per annum, pro rata if part-time
Hours: 37.5 per week, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working
We are recruiting band 5 staff nurses to join our new ophthalmology theatre provision at Lloyds Court. We are looking for registered nurses with some experience and/or a strong interest in ophthalmology and surgical nursing. You will have the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume surgical setting and be passionate about delivering quality perioperative patient care. If you have strong organisational skills and the ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment, then we want to hear from you.
We will offer you the opportunity to work collaboratively within a Community Diagnostic Centre supporting patients undergoing cataract surgery. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a streamlined service and help develop ophthalmology services across Milton Keynes.

The post holder will be a key member of the ophthalmology theatre team, delivering safe, effective, and person-centred care to patients undergoing high-volume, low-complexity cataract surgery under local anaesthetic. Working within a Community Diagnostic Centre, the role supports efficient surgical flow while maintaining high standards of clinical care, infection control, and patient experience.
