Job summary

Main duties of the job

The role would be suitable for an experienced qualified nurse looking for a new challenge and to extend their knowledge in the urology diagnostic and assessment fields. As a member of the team, you will be assisting practitioners in the investigations that take place on the unit, you will carry out interventions independently once competent to do so, and will assist the clinicians in caring for the patients who attend the Urology SDEC. The patients who attend the Urology SDEC unit will either be discharged after treatment, rebooked for further assessment at a later date, or they are admitted to ward 17, our Urology ward. You will have extensive contact with the Urology team including the Urology Specialist Nurses, the clinicians and the extended team working on our urology ward. Please contact us to discuss any questions you may have and to arrange an informal visit.
