Job overview

We have a full time vacancy in our SLT Assistant team.  The post holder will join our existing team of 12 SLT assistants to support the work of the SLT department.  The role will involve working in local nurseries to screen children's communication skills, deliver language groups and train nursery staff.  It will also involve jointly running groups in clinics and supporting clinical and administration tasks for the wider SLT team.  There will be an opportunity to develop your knowledge and understanding of communication development in children.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Main responsibilities:

  • Screening children's communication skills in nurseries.
  • Leading language groups in nurseries and clinics across the 2 boroughs.
  • Supporting nursery staff to deliver groups in their nursery settings
  • Supporting administration for the Early Years SLT team and other SLT teams for example: data entry, preparing resources, ordering resources, and various other admin tasks
