We have an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated Speech and Language Therapy Team as a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner in our Norfolk community service.

The post holder will work alongside Speech and Language Therapists to support the organisation and facilitation of clinical care for adults with communication and/or swallowing difficulties.

Main duties of the job

• To provide assistance in the delivery of Speech and Language Therapy services for adults with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties

.·         To work under the supervision of qualified Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs), to undertake a variety of clinical and non-clinical duties to support the delivery of the Adult Community SLT Service to patients

• To help patients during 1:1 and group treatment sessions by preparing the environment and equipment, designing and preparing therapy materials and carrying out treatment plans as directed by SLT colleagues.
• To work closely with SLTs, Multidisciplinary Teams and other professionals, including joint working where appropriate
