Hello, my name is Jon and I am the AHP Professional Lead for Inpatient CAMHS. I am delighted to share with you the opportunity for you to join our Speech and Language Therapy Team within inpatient services. This opportunity has arisen due to the recent expansion of the team.

Our Speech and Language Therapy Team are seeking a resilient, enthusiastic, and dedicated therapist to join the team. This is your chance to be part of an innovative, creative and compassionate service providing exceptional care to adolescents with complex mental health needs. As part of the team, you will provide specialist input across the trusts Inpatient CAMHS Units and Secure Children's home:

- Bluebird House (Medium Secure)

- Austen House (Low Secure & PICU)

- Serenity Path (Acute Psychiatric Unit) & Blake Day Service (Eating Disorder)

- Swanwick Lodge (Secure Children's Home)

This is an exciting opportunity to belong to growing team providing speech therapy assessment, intervention, consultation and training. You'll be part of an MDT working collaboratively to deliver therapeutic interventions and holistic care. You will be part of a team comprising of a Band 6 and Band 7 Therapist, with wider support from an Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist and Allied Health Professional (AHP) Lead for Inpatient CAMHS.

Main duties of the job

We're looking for someone who is:- Compassionate & Resilient: Passionate about supporting young people through vulnerable stages of their journey.- Team-Focused: Ready to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.- Curious & Looking to continue learning: We want this role to be the foundations of a fantastic Speech and Language Therapy career- Good Communication skills.- Excited about the innovative and creative potential of Speech and Language Therapy.You will be expected to:- Manage a caseload of service users with complex mental health needs, using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.- Plan, update and deliver training in response to service need. - Participate in the planning, development and evaluation of the speech and language therapy services.- Regularly supervise speech and language therapy students on practice placement.- Develop skills and knowledge through participation in relevant training & learning opportunities.
