1 post up to full time (up to 36 hrs per week)
We have an exciting opportunity available to come and join our Children & Young People’s Speech and Language Therapy team within NHS Borders.
We are looking for a person-centred and innovative Speech and Language Therapist who will work to actively put Ready to Act and NHS Borders organisational values into action in their work with young people and their families.
Our team vision:
‘The NHS Borders Children and Young People’s Speech and Language Therapy service will work together with those around the children and young people of the Borders to support them to effectively communicate and participate in their everyday lives’
The post is based in community children’s services working in partnership with our colleagues in Scottish Borders Council Education and the wider NHS Borders multidisciplinary team. We are a supportive and welcoming team committed to supporting our young people and their community towards self-management of speech, language and communication development.
We ask that you bring relevant experience and enthusiasm for working with children and young people, and it would be an advantage to have experience of working with delivering targeted training supports to parents and education staff.
The Borders is a beautiful rural location which offers access to the outdoors as part of an active lifestyle, such as walking, cycling and wild swimming. Travel will be required in order to reach our communities across a large geographical area.
