An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time 5 session Specialty Doctor to join our Liaison Psychiatry for Older People (LPOP) team within Mental Health Services for Older People (MHSOP) on a fixed term basis for 8 months.
The post-holder will work closely with the Consultant Psychiatrist and part time Specialty Doctor for LPOP and with the LPOP multidisciplinary team (MDT). The post will be aimed at providing planned and urgent assessments and reviews to District General Hospital in patients with co-morbid acute mental health needs in medicine, surgery and other services (not including Accident and Emergency or Medical Emergency Assessment Unit). The post holder will be across four hospital sites; Barry Hospital, St David’s Hospital, University Hospital Wales and University Hospital Llandough

This is an appointment of 5 sessions in total. The appointee will be expected to work closely with other MHSOP services including Community REACT (‘crisis’) team, Nursing and Residential Care Home Liaison Service, Assessment and Recovery Unit and Community teams and inpatient services
