You will be expected to work as part of the Consultant-led multi disciplinary team to deliver high quality patient care. Duties include ward rounds, supervised outpatient clinics, theatre sessions and participating in the on-call rota.

Main duties of the job

You will be an integral part of the Consultant led multi-disciplinary ENT team, working collaboratively to deliver high-quality, responsive care across both emergency and planned services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day clinical management for a broad range of acute and elective ENT patients.
  • Participate in minor surgery, fast-track clinics, and the out-of-hours on-call rota.
  • Engage fully with departmental audit, clinical governance, and quality improvement activities.
  • Support the training, supervision, and development of junior medical staff.
  • Undertake appropriate administrative duties related to clinical practice.
  • Actively contribute to teaching, service development, and continuous professional development programmes.
  • Maintain up-to-date compliance with mandatory training and GMC revalidation requirements.

Experience or interest in Rhinology or Paediatric ENT Surgery would be an advantage, although applications from candidates with a general ENT focus are warmly welcomed.

What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 3 years postgraduate medical training (or equivalent), with at least 2 years’ experience in ENT.
  • Clinical competencies equivalent to ST3–ST5 level.
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a current License to Practice.
  • Strong clinical, communication and teamwork skills.
  • A passion for delivering high standards of patient care across elective and acute pathways.

Postgraduate qualifications in ENT are desirable but not essential.
